Billing & Invoicing

Service Fees

• Hourly services are billed at agreed-upon rates, with detailed time entries provided.

• Flat-fee services are quoted in advance based on the defined scope of work.

• All service fees are separate from third-party costs.

Medical Records & Third-Party Costs

Costs associated with medical records, billing statements, imaging, or other third-party providers are not included in service fees.

Payment of these costs is handled according to the attorney’s preference, which may include:

• The firm paying providers directly

• The firm being invoiced for provider costs

• Reimbursement of provider costs advanced by Waypoint Legal Support, when agreed to in advance

Waypoint Legal Support does not advance third-party costs unless prior written approval is obtained.

Invoicing & Payment Terms

• Invoices are issued on a regular basis and include clear descriptions of services rendered and applicable costs.

• Payment terms are established at the start of each engagement.

• Invoices may be issued for hourly work, flat-fee projects, reimbursable costs, or a combination thereof.

Scope Changes

If the scope of work changes or additional services are requested beyond the original agreement, updated billing terms or revised estimates will be provided prior to proceeding.

No Long-Term Commitment

Engagements are flexible and may be concluded at any time in accordance with agreed-upon terms.
